Doctrinal Statement

  1. We believe the whole Bible from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 as the verbally inspired and infallible Word of God.     (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21)
  2. We believe in God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.(Matt. 28:19, I Corinthians 8:6, Eph. 4:6, I Corinthians 12:4-6)
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ was born of Mary, the virgin, and is the Son of God and God the Son.    (John 1:1, Luke 1:34,34, Mark 1:1)
  4. We believe that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.      (Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:18,19)
  5. We believe that He rose from the grave according to the Scriptures, and that He will bodily return, and He will judge the living and the dead.  (I Corinthians 15:17, Luke 24:39)
  6. We believe that in order to be received by Christ, we must receive Him as our Lord and Savior; and therefore be “Born Again.”     (John 1:12, 3:7)
  7. We believe that every truly saved person should declare their faith in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection by the act of believer’s baptism. (Immersion in water)   (Romans 6:3-5, Acts 8:36-39)
  8. We believe the Church is a body of baptized believers whose mission is to share this message of Christ with others.      (Acts 1:8, 2:41-47)
  9. Marriage and Family Life.  We believe that Christian marriage has been created by God to join one man and one woman in a lifelong, exclusive relationship of mutual care, support, and intimacy.  Marriage creates the family unit within which children are born and nurtured.  God has created the husband’s and wife’s roles in marriage on the model of the relationship between Christ and His church.  We believe that divorce is the result of mankind’s fallen nature, and that Jesus Christ offers healing from the pain and sorrow of divorce through the Holy Spirit.  We believe that fidelity in marriage and chastity in singleness are the only proper expressions of God’s plan for human sexuality, and that fornication, adultery, and homosexual behavior are the results of mankind’s fallen nature.  We believe that Jesus Christ offers healing through the Holy Spirit to persons entrapped in sexual sin, breaking its power in them and freeing them to know and experience their true identity and freedom in Christ. (Matthew 19:4-6; I Corinthians 7:2, 10-11; Ephesians 5:3, 22-33; I Corinthians 6:9-11, 18-20)
