Traditional Worship Service, Sunday Mornings 11:00 a.m.

Rockland’s First Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church offering a traditional worship service with hymns and traditional music and an emphasis on strong biblical teaching.

The First Baptist Church of Rockland is abounding with rich history dating back to its inception in 1854.  With 22 charter members Rev. Horace T. Love became the first pastor of what was then known as the First Baptist Church of East Abington, MA.  The church building was constructed in 1856 on land donated by Deacon George W. Chipman of Boston.  In the mid-1870s the town of East Abington became known as Rockland, MA.

Joytime Singspiration

The Joytime Singspiration is a monthly event held at 7:00 PM, the first Saturday of every month.  Attendees choose favorites from the hymn book and enjoy and old fashioned hymn sing. Each month features a different guest artist who will bring their own special music to the event. Some are nationally and internationally known musicians/singers/songwriters and some are local artists with a love for the LORD and a talent to be used for Him.  Following the 90 minute service there will be refreshments and fellowship in the Fellowship Hall.
